DAAD research grants provide foreign doctoral candidates and young academics and scientists with an opportunity to carry out short-term research or continue their education in Germany. There are funding programmes for various qualification phases and stages in a career. The grants also promote the exchange of experience and networking amongst colleagues.
Short-Term Grants are available to early-career researchers who have completed doctoral studies within the past four years. Research stays of 1-6 months at German institutions. Support comprises travel funding, insurance and monthly living allowance.
More information is available on the DAAD website.
Any faculty member interested in this opportunity is asked to contact the International Research Manager (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca) in the Office of Research Services for more information.
