Globalink Research Award update ‑ eligibility expansion

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on December 10, 2018 in Announcements

Mitacs Globalink Research Awards (GRAs) help faculty and students at Canadian universities deepen the research links between Canadian and international educational institutions. Eligible partner countries include the EU member states, the United States, Australia and many others.

Mitacs recently announced two important updates to the GRA program:

  1. In addition to senior undergrads and grad students, Postdoctoral Fellows are now eligible for GRAs, if they graduated from a PhD program no more than 5 years prior to the proposed start date of the research project.
  2. Up to 25% of the 12- to 24-week research project may take place at the home university (in the past, 100% of the project was required to take place at the host university abroad).

Visit the GRA website for the full list of destinations and other program information.  For advice and support in preparing applications, please contact the International Research Manager (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca) in the Office of Research Services.
