Recently there have been to changes to the SSHRC RDF internal funding program, which will be known as the SSHRC Explore Grants Program moving forward. Through the newly funded SSHRC Institutional Grant (SIG), Universities are now able to administer small grants in SSHRC-related fields, up to a value of $7,000. The overall goal of the program is for eligible Canadian postsecondary institutions to use these funds to support small-scale research and research-related activities and strengthen research excellence in social sciences and humanities, as we have done in the past through the SSHRC Research Development grants (RDF) program.
Therefore, the previous SSHRC RDF grant guidelines and application form has been slightly revised to reflect the changes and can be found on the DRS website here.
