Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on April 9, 2018 in Announcements

SSHRC is joining CIHR and NSERC in the next competition of the Collaborative Health Research Projects initiative (CHRP) with a Special Call on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Health and Society.

Special Call – AI, Health and Society: Building on an established record of collaboration between NSERC and CIHR and SSHRC, the granting agencies will use the CHRP funding opportunity to pilot a Tri-Agency collaboration intended to support multi-disciplinary collaborations amongst researchers from natural sciences and engineering, health sciences, social sciences and humanities. The research intersection chosen for this Special Call is Artificial Intelligence, Health and Society.

Successful projects will bring together researchers from natural sciences and engineering, health sciences and social sciences and humanities to collaborate on innovative artificial intelligence research applied to health and to investigate ethical, legal, and/or societal impacts associated with the development, scale, and spread of AI in the health sector.
