Applications for the 2017 Legacy Research Grant are now open!
The goal of the Legacy Research Grant is to provide seed funding in support of high quality, leading edge respiratory health-related research in Nova Scotia that will help manage and prevent lung disease.
Electronic versions of the application package must be received at the LANS office in Halifax. Applications found to meet established criteria (eligibility and completeness) will be reviewed by an independent Scientific Review Committee.
The Review Committee will make recommendations to the LANS Board of Directors. The LANS Board of Directors will make the final decision regarding the awarding of the grants. Unsuccessful applicants will receive written notification of the decision.
Depending on the Review Committee’s recommendation and the approval of the LANS Board, 1 to 2 grants as high as $25,000 per grant may be awarded - up to a maximum total amount of $25,000.
Recipients of the LANS Legacy Research Fund grants must present their findings in an oral or poster presentation at a public forum that is agreed upon by the grant recipient and the Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
