The European Joint Programming Initiative (JPI) “More Years Better Lives” has announced a call for proposals on the topic "The Potential and Challenges of Demographic Change”. The overarching aim is to find ways to improve the health and wellbeing of older people, to enable less active elderly to be more engaged in, and more active contributors to wider society, and to do this in cost effective ways.
Only transnational projects will be funded. Each proposal must involve a minimum of three eligible applicants from at least three different countries participating in the call (including Belgium, Finland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands). Canadian participation will be funded via CIHR Operating Grants. Canadian researchers can receive up to $111,111 per year for up to 3 years.
