CALDO‑FAPESP Call For Proposals

Posted by Suman Jha on February 6, 2017 in Research Funding

A call for proposals has been issued by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in Brazil, and four participating institutions of CALDO (a consortium of Canadian research universities dedicated to the development of international education partnerships between Canada and Latin America).

Proposals are invited for collaborative research projects, in any field, involving the exchange of researchers between Canada and Sao Paulo State, Brazil.  Projects will be funded for a two-year duration, to a total of C$25,000 (with $12,500 for the Canadian team and an equivalent amount for the Brazilian team). Funding is intended to cover research-related mobility expenses (air travel, accommodation, meals, etc.).

As Dalhousie University is one of the participating CALDO institutions involved in this call, tenured or tenure-track Dal faculty with Brazilian partners in Sao Paulo State (who are currently funded by FAPESP) are invited to submit proposals for funding under this call.

Full details of this call, and links to guidelines and application forms, can be found here.

Any faculty member interested in this opportunity is asked to contact the International Research Facilitator in Dalhousie Research Services (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca), for more information and support in preparing an application.

Deadline: 24 April 2017
