The Pengrowth‑Nova Scotia Energy Innovation Grant

Posted by Suman Jha on January 11, 2016 in Research Funding

Nova Scotia has a rich and diverse energy sector with emerging resource potential for offshore, onshore and renewable sectors.

The current activity in combination with exciting energy prospects have given rise to professional and technical education and training programs in the province. These programs have led Nova Scotia to further grow its energy sector through new, innovative research and fresh ideas from recent graduates.

This grant is designed to support researchers investigating areas of importance to Nova Scotia’s growing energy sector. Awards totaling $10,000 are available each year (non-renewable) to students preparing to begin full-time studies in a Master level program in Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Business, or Engineering at a Nova Scotia university.

In addition to meeting the high standards of academic achievement, recipients of the Pengrowth-Nova Scotia Energy Innovation Grant should be well-rounded individuals with a variety of interests that may include volunteer work, sports and/or other community-based activities.
