Posted by Alana Milner on July 13, 2015 in Research Funding

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) is issuing a call for proposals for knowledge translation initiatives to be undertaken as part of the Office’s Pathways to Privacy series.

The Pathways to Privacy series was established by the Office to increase awareness of the outcomes of privacy research in Canada.

Funding applicants are encouraged to propose innovative and creative approaches for increasing awareness of privacy research, such as:

  • Workshops, conferences or symposia aimed at disseminating privacy related knowledge to relevant stakeholders;
  • Interactive online approaches for disseminating research findings and raising awareness of privacy issues;
  • Videos or documentaries aimed at general and targeted audiences;
  • Art shows, exhibits or performances that feature privacy as the key theme of the event.

There is a maximum of $50,000 available for this initiative. Funded initiatives must be completed by March 31, 2016.

Eligible organizations must submit proposals in accordance with the established parameters, as outlined in the Applicant’s Guide, by August 14, 2015.
