Laboratory supervisors are responsible for conducting annual inspections in laboratories under their supervision and for resolving health and safety problems identified during these inspections. Laboratory supervisors must complete the Laboratory Inspection/Audit Form and submit to their department chair and the EHS office (via Steve Beaton, Chemical Safety Officer) by August 14, 2015.
Regular laboratory inspections play a key role in preventing accidents and injuries by identifying hazards, implementing corrective measures and monitoring the effectiveness of the controls.
