Mitacs Globalink Research Internships

Posted by Alana Milner on May 11, 2015 in Research Funding

Mitacs is currently accepting project proposals from Canadian faculty for its Globalink Research Internship program.

Dalhousie faculty are invited to propose research projects to be undertaken by international senior undergraduate interns, over a twelve-week period at Dalhousie in summer 2016. Successful faculty will supervise the research project work done by the interns, who will travel to Canada to undertake these projects of mutual interest.

Faculty from all disciplines may apply. The program is open to student interns from Brazil, China, India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Vietnam, and (new this year) France, Germany or Tunisia. Mitacs oversees faculty-student intern matching and travel logistics, and provides student funding.

Successful student research interns will be eligible to apply later for a Globalink Graduate Fellowship, which provides funding for research intern alumni to return to Canada for graduate studies.

For more information and links to the application forms, please visit Mitacs website.

Any Dalhousie faculty member interested in this opportunity is asked to contact Jennifer Morawiecki in International Research & Development.

Application deadline: June 18, 2015 at 9:00 p.m.
