A staff team from Dalhousie Research Services participated in last week’s inaugural Boots ‘n’ Blooms event in Halifax, in which individuals and teams from across the Halifax campuses gathered together to do some gardening work and beautify the Studley Quad.
Working under the motto “Digging Deep to Grow Research @ Dal”, team members of “DRS Down ‘n’ Dirty” included Nancy Hayter, Pat Rodee, Jennifer Morawiecki, Michelle Wood, Donna Gaudet and Coleen Branscombe. The team’s elaborately-decorated boots and matching floral gloves and brooches impressed gardening guru and judge Marjorie Willison, who presented the team with a trophy plaque for Best Team Boots.
