SSHRC is committed to continuously improving the Common CV system in response to the feedback we receive from the research community. Here are some examples of what has been addressed so far:

  • Improved CCV search interface functionality, removed the subdivision requirement for countries other than Canada and the United States, and provided the ability to sort on PubMed entries [May 2013]
  • Introduced a cleaner, more reader-friendly PDF layout [July 2013]
  • Simplified navigation for the selection of templates [April 2014]

On May 30th, SSHRC will be implementing new enhancements to the CCV, including:

  • Ability to import publication files in the BibTeX format, which is supported by several bibliographic databases including Scopus, Google Scholar and Web of Science.
  • Ability to import multiple PubMed records at once
  • Migration of existing PubMed records into the Journal Articles section of the CCV
  • Removal of the PubMed Articles section from CCV

As a result, the CCV will not be available on May 30th as of 16h. It is expected that the downtime to be around 4 hours.

Coming soon:

  • Further improvements to the format of PDF generated by the CCV
