Earlier this year, the University signed a new institutional agreement with the Tri-Agencies. A positive change with this new Agreement is that the Tri-Agencies no longer require researchers to secure Research Ethics Board approval within six months of receiving their award. In most cases, researchers may request authorization to expend funds on activities that do not require Research Ethics Board approval(s) until such time as any required Research Ethics Board approval(s) have been granted. This is done by completing a Release of Funds Agreement. To reflect changes to the Agreement, the Request for a Release of Funds Agreement form has been updated.
