The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) is phasing in the Research Portal and the Common CV (CCV) starting with the Discovery Grants Program. The Notification of Intent submission period (May 8 to August 1, 2013) is currently underway using the new Research Portal and NSERC CCV.

In response to feedback received from the research community, a preview of high-level requirements is now available to help institutions and researchers prepare their individual and team Discovery Grants applications due November 1, 2013. The table highlights the application elements to be included in the Research Portal, and the allowed space associated with each.

These requirements are subject to change and are provided for planning purposes only. As in previous years, NSERC will provide final requirements and instructions in early August—once the application function is available within the Research Portal.
