The Research Data Centre (RDC) Program is a strategic joint initiative between Statistics Canada, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to promote research and training in the application of social statistics. This joint initiative provides researchers with access to micro data from population and household surveys.
A new application type called Program of Research has been launched for large projects that have several sub-projects on related research themes. Researchers can now submit a proposal for the approval of the overall research program. Once approved, they can submit short project summary proposals, instead of a full proposal, for specific projects that fall under the umbrella of the program of research.
