Linda Parker

Assistant Vice-President, Housing and Conference Services (acting)

(Housing, Conference Services, DalCard, Food Services, Agricultural Campus Residence Life)

Linda Parker began her career with Dalhousie University as a summer student in 1988 at the Fenwick Tower residence, a high-rise formerly home to 400 students. Since then, she has been an integral part of the Ancillary Services team in many roles serving our residence community and touched the lives of tens of thousands of students in her 35 years at Dalhousie.

She has taken on many challenges and proven that her hands-on, unflappable leadership style can get the team through any crisis – from hurricane to pandemic – and collaborate effectively with our campus partners.

Most recently, Linda was the Director of Residence and Conference Operations, managing teams on the Halifax and Truro campuses. She looks forward to continuing to lead the Ancillary Services teams in creating safe and comfortable residences, growing our Conference Services and Summer Accommodations businesses, and in streamlining and bringing efficiencies to the DalCard office to better serve the Dalhousie community.
