How our Work is Funded

Our research is primarily funded through competitive, peer-reviewed grants and trainee fellowships from a variety of funding agencies, including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Canadian Frailty Network (CFN), the Alzheimer Society of Canada, the Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation, and the Nova Scotia Health Authority Research Fund.

Dr. Kenneth Rockwood receives research support from the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation as the Kathryn Allen Weldon Professor of Alzheimer Research (2002-2022), and philanthropic support for geriatric research from the Fountain Family Innovation Fund.

Donations in support of geriatric research are gratefully received and may be directed to Geriatric Medicine Research through the Dalhousie Medical Research Foundation or the QEII Health Sciences Research Foundation.
