Research Interests

Professor Weigand’s research focuses on leadership, resiliency and diversity. Studies include: (1) Understanding the value of social connection during COVID-19 and the role of cultural resiliency; (2) Collaboration factors that drive economic prosperity in African Nova Scotian Communities; (3) Understanding the moderating effect of leader positivity on follower innovation and burnout.
