Mentoring Opportunity

The Dalhousie School of OT is seeking expressions of interests from Indigenous occupational therapists who are passionate about mentoring Indigenous occupational therapy students. The Dalhousie School of OT mentor program began in 2022 and provides confidential support to students who identify as Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+, African Nova Scotian or other racialized groups, and/or disabled throughout their OT education.  
 
The successful candidate will join a team of experienced and supportive mentors who are committed to improving the educational experiences of students from equity-denied groups. The role is dynamic and may include meeting with students, connecting them to existing resources, and collaborating with the other mentors and the School of OT Equity Committee on advocacy initiatives.  
  
This is a paid casual position can be conducted remotely and requires approximately 5 hours/month commitment. No formal mentoring experience or education required.
