The @WORK project, coordinated by faculty member Karen Joundry in collaboration with Dalhousie's Environmental Health and Safety office has touched the daily lives of well over 400 community members in various ways. School instructor and ISWP board member Amira Tawashy. Works with WHO to support the development of modern rehabilitation systems in Ukraine, introducing internationally recognized, standardized training products for rehabilitation specialists in the country and creating a national network of trainers with international certification. To celebrate World Occupational Therapy Day, School Director Dr. Paula Rushton collaborated with Dr. Lee Kirby to deliver a Wheelchair Skills Training Workshop for local clinicians, giving back to the community and strengthening clinical practice. This initiative supports better wheelchair provision, ultimately benefiting those who rely on these essential services for mobility and independence.
