Last month the Maria S. Merian, a research vessel that often hosts Dal researchers on its voyages, made a port call in Halifax and allowed visitors to tour its laboratories before setting off to the Labrador Sea.

Maria S. Merian one of the most advanced multi disciplinary research vessels in the world is visiting Halifax. It will be open to the public on Saturday August 22, 2015 from 10am to 4 pm at Pier 24.

More than 1,400 visitors descended on Dal's Steele Ocean Sciences Building during Doors Open Halifax earlier this month, which hosted hands-on ocean science and technology activities for attendees of all ages.
