Deadline: Habitat Stewardship Program for Aquatic Species at Risk
The objective of the HSP for Aquatic Species at Risk is to support and promote the conservation and recovery of aquatic species at risk and their habitats by engaging Canadians in projects that will result in tangible and measurable conservation benefits.

While not mandatory, Expressions of Interest are strongly encouraged. The deadline for submission of an Expression of Interest is November 8, 2024.
Funding applications are due December 13, 2024. The Application Form can be downloaded from the Program website. Please ensure you refer to the HSP Application Instructions and the Program Guide in completing an application.
Please note that Fisheries and Oceans Canada administers HSP for Aquatic Species at Risk projects, while Environment and Climate Change Canada administers HSP for terrestrial species at risk; therefore, this information only pertains to projects focused on aquatic species at risk.
Internal Deadline
Unless otherwise specified, the standard ORS internal deadline is 10 business days ahead of the funder deadline. Researchers are encouraged to check with their faculty regarding their incremental internal deadline.
