For Industry

Our faculty researchers have expertise in a wide range of technologies and processes ranging from powder metallurgy to energy storage to biofuels. We welcome inquiries on how we can partner with industry to address their needs. Depending on the nature of the project, there may be funding initiatives designed for industry-university partnerships, or to assist with commercialization.

The Office of Commercialization and Industry Engagement (OCIE) manages and facilitates collaborations between industry and Dalhousie researchers, striving to build partnerships between the university’s research community and industry. It also provides early assistance in the creation of startups based on Dal research. Other collaboration opportunities may be found through Springboard Atlantic, the NRC Industrial Research Assistance Program or MITACS.

Characterization and analysis services are also available on a fee for service basis.
