Love Yourself. Get the Facts. Stay Safe.

Dalhousie Sexual Health Week focuses on self‑love, stigma reduction, and supporting students to take charge of their sexual health. Join us for free STI screening, interactive pop‑ups, creative activities, and safer sex supplies across campus.

All events are free and open to Dalhousie and Kings students.

Events:

Take advantage of quick, easy and confidential STI screening and take an important step toward caring for yourself and your partners.

No appointment necessary, just drop-in to get screened for chlamydia and gonorrhea – the most common STIs that don’t always show symptoms!

Bring your provincial or DSU health card. Even if your test is positive, treatment is free, funded by public health and easily accessible at Student Health & Wellness Centre.

Location & Time:

  • Tuesday, Feb 10 | 11:00 AM–2:00 PM – LeMarchant Place Atrium

Learn more about the STI Screening Clinic process – it’s quick, easy confidential and you collect all your tests yourself!

Celebrate confidence, self-love, and sexual health!

Take a fun Valentine’s-themed photo (solo or with friends), get it printed on the spot, and enter to win a Safe & Saucy Gift Pack to support your Valentine’s Day plans.

Tag @dalstudenthealth on Instagram to help spread the message that loving yourself includes protecting your health.

Locations & Times:

  • Monday, Feb 9 | 12:30–2:30 PM – Tupper Link

  • Wednesday, Feb 11 | 11:00 AM–1:00 PM – Killam Library Lobby

  • Thursday, Feb 12 | 12:00–3:00 PM – Killam Library Lobby

The tone of the event is cozy, celebratory, and supportive, emphasizing self-love, friendship, and community. Through hands-on candle making and the creation of Dalentine cards, participants will gain a meaningful creative experience, opportunities to build social connections, and a tangible reminder of care and belonging they can take home with them.

This Sexual Health Week, Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights is kicking off the annual SexPlus campaign by exploring sexual health + artificial intelligence.

Today, AI is an increasing part of our everyday lives—even when it comes to our sexual health! It's fast and easy to ask an AI chatbot a quick question about sexually transmitted infections (STIs), the difference between birth control options, or even asking advice on how to have "the talk" with your kids.

In 2025, nearly a billion (with a B!) people used an AI chatbot every week. That's a lot of people, and a lot of questions.

But how do we know we're getting accurate answers?

Check out the Chatbot and Sexual Health Factsheet!

Take the SexPlus Trivia Challenge with Action Canada, and test your knowledge about AI and sexual health!

Register here for the Sexual Health (Mis)information in the Age of AI Virtual Workshop on Zoom, Wednesday, Feb 11 | 2:00 PM
