Christine Frigault, MEd, RCT, CCC

Christine has a passion for working with the student population. She has been at Dalhousie since 2019 but worked at three other universities over the course of her career. Christine began her counselling career at Western University where she completed her Masters degree. However, being a Maritimer, she was drawn back to Halifax and spent 18 years working at Mount Saint Vincent University before moving across town to Dalhousie. She spends most of her time here providing career counselling at the Bissett Student Success Centre and also provides one day per week of same day and/or personal counselling appointments within the Student Health and Wellness Centre.

Regardless of student concerns, Christine loves helping them identify their strengths and overcome challenges on their journeys.  She strives to create an inclusive, warm and supportive environment where students feel safe to explore and work towards goals that are meaningful to them.

Outside of work, Christine has been a member of a book club for the past two decades and enjoys reading historical fiction and books that provide various cultural perspectives.  She also enjoys spending time with her family and black Labrador Retriever, going on hikes and enjoying the outdoors.
