Richard Payne named first Canadian president of the CLLA

Commercial litigation lawyer Richard Payne (BA’81, LLB’84) was appointed president of the Commercial Law League of America (CCLA), becoming its first Canadian to assume the presidency.

Richard Payne (BA’81, LLB’84) became the first Canadian president of the Commercial Law League of America (CCLA) when he was installed at the organization’s 130th Annual Meeting in Chicago. His appointment marks a milestone for the league and recognizes his leadership and contributions to the commercial law profession.
