2014 Meeting
12th Port Performance Research Network (PPRN) Workshop
Tuesday, 15 July 2014, in Norfolk, Virginia
Meeting Coordinator and Chair: Mary R. Brooks, Dalhousie University
Meeting Address: Marriott Waterside Hotel, Hampton Ballroom II
Audience participation is expected in all sessions. The purpose of the meetings is to frame new research and seek concepts for its funding and development. The Norfolk meeting will focus on what future research the Network should undertake and how it will be managed beyond 2014. Therefore, the after-lunch portion of the program will be open only to members as of June 1.
Structure of the one-day workshop
In the morning, PPRN members will report on current research strands and future plans. Attendees will have a roundtable discussion of what progress has been made, or on methods of analysis or methodologies would be appropriate for the future work of the team. Teams to continue research will be adjusted where appropriate.
After a working lunch, Network Members will meet to explore next steps in the research agenda of the Network. This portion of the meeting will only be open to Network Members. We will finish earlier than usual to allow time for the IAME Council meeting in the same room.
