Update to our Local Government Programming

Thank you for your interest in the Local Government Program. We are in the midst of reviewing and updating the program to ensure that it covers the most important knowledge and skills required to be successful in the field. The goal of this project is to improve the overall learner experience, and to include a microcredential in each course, which is a sharable virtual object that allows learners to demonstrate their newly-earned skills.

We are currently accepting registrations into the Associate Certificate in Local Government. It will benefit those who work in the technical fields of local government to gain a working knowledge of the history, organization, challenges, and opportunities for local government.

We'll be offering these courses on an annual basis, as part of the Associate Certificate:


New Certificate/Workshop

Certificate in Finance and Risk Management for Local Government

This three-course certificate is designed to help municipal government employees navigate the complexities of financial, technological, and organizational management and risk. Each course is 36 hours over 12 weeks and cost $1,045.
