Why Study Abroad?

The Italian Studies program offers a study abroad opportunity for students who are new to Italian, as well as those with a couple of years of experience.

Exchange Programs

Dalhousie University has a number of exchange agreements with universities worldwide including countries where Italian is the first language.

You pay tuition fees to your home university (Dalhousie), while you study at a partner institution.

Dalhousie has many different funding opportunities available for students who need financial support to make their exchange dreams a reality. Explore the different options available and apply for internal funding now! Click here .

For example: Università degli Studi di Pavia

The study abroad program with Pavia is an exchange, giving students the chance to spend either a full year or an european semester studying at an Italian university. This option is ideally suited to students who have already studied Italian with us. Pavia is located 35km from Milan. Enjoy the city’s ancient churches, cobblestone streets, and squares. The language of instruction is mainly Italian, but there is a large number of courses that are totally or partially held in English.
