The Writing Centre Team is here to help you take your writing to the next level!

From blank page to final revisions, the Writing Centre team can help you with essays, assignments, lab reports, presentations, and much more. Book and manage your own appointments using our Online Booking Site. If you are unable to make an appointment online, feel free to email us at acwrite@dal.ca.

This fall term, the Writing Centre is offering both in-person tutoring appointments!

In-person appointments will be hosted in the AC Writing Centre, located on the centre floor of the MacRae Library.

No appointment? No problem! As long as there is no one else booked, you can drop in during our office hours with any questions you may have.

The Writing Centre is proud to offer a Writing Workflow Workshop that will help student develop their academic writing skills. In the session, we will go through a step-by-step process of starting with a paper topic and building out to an annotated outline. The Writing Advisor will provide strategies for how to find and use reliable sources in a way that adheres to Academic Integrity standards and improves your understanding of the material. We will also discuss effective paragraph and sentence structure and how to use our outline as a roadmap to a finished essay. The workshop will be hosted multiple times throughout the semester. If you would like to register, select the ’60-min Writing Workshop’ option on our booking page and use the arrows to browse the calendar for an open workshop.
