Foundations in Clinical and Professional Education
Who should take this course? Any health care professional or student who is interested in adult education and working with students.
This non-credit, online course will be offered as three separate learning modules. It introduces learners to adult education principles using the elements of program design, and objective setting (Module A). The unique learning environment in which clinical education takes place will be described including the preceptor role and application of theory to practice (Module B). The importance of lifelong learning and reflective practice for health care professionals will be discussed (Module C).
Cost $100 per module or complete all 3 modules for $249.99.
Each module will include learning objectives; theoretical background of the topic; and an opportunity to discuss and apply learning through the use of real-life examples. There will be a self-assessment provided for each module to allow learners to evaluate what they have learned.
Module A – Adult Education
