Katie Blatt is an undergraduate student studying Contemporary Studies and Sociology jointly at the University of King's College and Dalhousie University. She is the Research Assistant at Dalhousie's Centre for Jewish Studies, with previous experience in office administration including communications and grant writing. Her main research interest lies in the folkways of Ashkenazi women in the Pale of Settlement. She is passionate about bringing to light the  thought, history, and rituals of these women, acknowledging and celebrating their contributions as essential and continuous links in Jewish life. Katie is thrilled to play a part in building a Jewish Studies program and Centre anchored in the expansiveness and multiplicity of the Jewish tradition.
