User Fees and Bookings
The LA-ICPMS facility recovers the cost of argon, helium and other consumables through user fees. The expected number of analyses (standards and unknowns) being 70-150 spots per 8-hour day. There is a flat rate of $40 per session for ICP warmup and tuning time. Normally, bookings will be done in units of 4 hour sessions.

*Users who were Co-PI on the RTI proposal for the laser ablation unit are considered to be Internal A/B user types.
**Collaborative Research refers to work done by any external user leading to joint publication with an Internal User A/B.
***User will be trained by the operator to acquire sample analyses and data reduction.
