Humanity, global super predator

Sorry, not great news this Friday. As a human, you’re very likely a super predator. A new study contributed to by Dal researchers puts a fine point on our impact. It’s bad, maybe worse than you think. We prey on up to 300 times more species than any other and the survival of almost 40 per cent of exploited vertebrates are now threatened by humans. Grim, but the researchers see a silver lining — the more we understand our outsized impact the more we’re likely to act. Learn more.
