Celebrating respect at Dal


It's Respect Week at Dal — a celebration of the importance of respect in our community. All week long, we've been publishing profiles of individuals across the university working to build a safe, inclusive environment we can all be proud of.

Dal prof receives prestigious McNeil Medal from Royal Society of Canada

Bioethicist Françoise Baylis is this year's recipient of the Royal Society of Canada's McNeil Medal, which celebrates outstanding promotion and communication of science to students and the public.

MacEachen Institute brings together students and former parliamentarians

Last week the Dal-hosted MacEachen Institute for Public Policy and Governance welcomed several former parliamentarians to campus to meet with students and discuss various topics, including oceans, Nova Scotia’s economic future and careers in public policy.

HERITAGE

Dalhousie’s annual Mawio'mi event on Thursday, October 6 will be preceded by the permanent installation of the Mi’kmaq flag on Dal’s Studley Campus.

PINK DAY

On Thursday, Dal celebrated its annual "Pink Day," with students, faculty and staff wearing pink to promote pride, safety and inclusion in our community.

Nearly 1,000 students across more than 20 health fields took part in the first ever Dalmazing Interprofessional Challenge last week — a fun, hands-on introduction to the importance of interprofessional health care.
