Community, compassion, commitment: Meet the students receiving this year's Governors' Awards

At Thursday night's Dalhousie IMPACT Awards, five students will receive Dal’s top award for exceptional contributions or leadership in student life: Aaron Taylor (Russian Studies), Hasmeet Singh Chandok (Computer Science), Maike van Niekerk (Nursing), Jeremy Ryant (Political Science) and Sarah MacNeil (Recreation Management).

Camping and sleeping outside of the Rowe Building for nearly a week, members of the Dalhousie Commerce Society have raised more than $12,000 for Phoenix Youth Programs.

First-year student Kristin Clarke, skip for Dalhousie's AUS champion curling team, was part of the Nova Scotia team that took home the gold at the World Junior Curling Championships in Denmark earlier this month.
