Heather-Anne Grant, M.Sc., P.Ag

Agriculture has been my passion and profession for over 20 years. Growing up on my family’s dairy farm I learned at an early age the value of working hard to take what you have been given and make it better for future generations. Farming alongside my extended family fostered a joy and appreciation for setting goals with like-minded individuals to achieve something bigger than oneself. My formal education was completed at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and the University of Alberta. Regardless of the establishment I have had the privilege to work for I often ended up in a teaching role; whether as an agricultural extension officer, a banker, or facilitating strategic development sessions as a policy analyst. Sharing my front lines experience in the agri-food sector to address the questions and concerns of students is a privilege. The primary objective of all my work with students, inside and outside the classroom, is to grow empathetic self-aware problem solvers.
