Battery experts join exclusive Tesla partnership at Dal in research chair roles


Michael Metzger and Chongyin Yang will work closely with Jeff Dahn, who is NSERC/Tesla Canada Inc. Industrial Research Chair and Canada Research Chair in Materials for Advanced Batteries at Dal. The new additions to Dr. Dahn's team come as the partnership with Tesla is extended until at least 2026.

The Viola Desmond Legacy Lecture series, first introduced with an inaugural lecture during Dalhousie's bicentennial celebrations in 2018, returns — this time, virtually. Join us Jan. 27 to hear a lecture with Indigenous rights advocate, Michèle Audette, whose outstanding contributions to Indigenous women’s rights in Canada include serving as Commissioner for the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
