Congratulations to all of the graduates who crossed the stage during this week’s Fall 2022 Convocation ceremonies! Dalhousie Science Society Fall Research Mixer this evening

Tonight, the Dalhousie Science Society will be hosting its Fall Research Mixer for students looking to explore undergraduate research opportunities. There will be presentations from professors and researchers, and an opportunity to chat with them afterwards. Food will be provided, and students from all programs are invited to attend. Registration is not required, but any questions can be directed to dss@dal.ca or via their social media channels.

Feed NS Chili/Soup Lunch: Wednesday, November 9

The Dean’s Office is holding a chili/soup lunch next week in support of Feed Nova Scotia. A minimum donation of $5 is requested in order to take part, and all are welcome to attend.

DalMAST now recruiting new members

The Dalhousie Microtransat Autonomous Sailboat Team (MAST) is recruiting new members for its team of first-year to master’s-level students who design and build an autonomous sailboat powered by renewable energy. Their new sailboat is called “Nautono”, which runs on autonomous navigational software developed by the team. Students from programs across Dal are invited to participate. WiE x WiSTEM Spin Class this Saturday

Ease into reading week, de-stress after midterms, and peer network by joining Dalhousie's Women in Engineering and STEM societies in a spin class at JustCycle Studio.

Dalhousie United Way Campaign

Dal’s 2022 United Way Campaign is underway, with the goal of raising $140,000 from across all campuses. Faculty and staff are invited to make a donation through the personal link sent via email from your campaign coordinator on October 11. Visit the campaign’s website for more details.


Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) – Nov. 21 deadline for faculty to enroll

Faculty are reminded of the upcoming deadline of Monday, November 21 to sign up for multi-factor authentication (MFA). Visit dal.ca/mfa for complete details on how to sign up for MFA, including a tutorial video. Information Technology Services (ITS) has set mandatory deadlines for staff (October 31) and faculty (November 21) to sign up for MFA.
