Being allies & healing together: Understanding student experiences to create supportive learning environments

Faculty and staff event
Virtual event

Registration required

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, on Monday March 22 at 11:30 am ADT join us in learning more about the student experiences during this virtual year. How can we better understand the motivations and stressors behind communications and requests? There has been a steep learning curve for all this year, and we are working to make the best of this scenario by opening up and building collaborative learning environments. This student panel will give faculty and staff an opportunity to learn more about what is it like to be a student right now, and explore ways in which students have felt supported, and those areas where they need more support in their academic journey. Today's academic world is built on collaboration, and open communication can be a wonderful tool for learning together. This event is only for faculty and staff, there will be no recordings, and questions can be submitted using the registration form below. This is a safe space to explore the barriers to effective communication and opportunities for understanding in the virtual world. Please register and submit questions here.
