Learning Disability Services

Student walking up the stairs on Studley Campus

The Student Health & Wellness team supports students who have or need to be assessed for a learning disability.

Our healthcare team includes psychologists who may provide screening assessments, learning strategies, and advocacy services to students with learning disabilities (LD), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) depending on information obtained from an initial intake interview with the psychologist.

Are you a new student with ADHD? Transfer your ADHD medication prescriptions before you arrive at Dal!

If you have ADHD, obtain a copy of your psychoeducational assessment or a letter from your doctor in advance of your arrival to Dalhousie. In Nova Scotia, ADHD medication(s) is a controlled substance and out of province prescriptions are not transferrable to a Nova Scotia pharmacy. For our doctors to be able to continue to prescribe your ADHD medication and provide continuity of care, we need your psychoeducational assessment or a letter from your doctor on file.
