Reports and accountability

Over thirty-years of demographic data, integrated across employee and student information systems, is used to support equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility within the Dalhousie community.

Data and analytics

This demographic data includes annual census and employment equity reporting through the lens of both intersectional and disaggregated analysis. It also includes qualitative analysis of lived experience and feelings of belonging as captured across several surveys such as the Dalhousie Campus Climate and Your Voice workplace surveys, the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), the Canadian Graduate and Professional Student Survey (CGPSS), and the National College Health Assessment (NCHA).

The partnership between the Office of the Vice-Provost, Equity & Inclusion and Dalhousie Analytics puts expertise in advanced analysis and interpretation; strategic data planning, reporting, and management; and institutional research to work fulfilling the promise of using institutional data for forward looking, evidence driven decision making.

Lord Dalhousie panel and report

The Lord Dalhousie Scholarly Panel on Slavery and Race was established to examine the university's history with regard to slavery and race and recommend actions Dalhousie could take in response.
