A chat with Anne Kari H. Ovind, Norway's Ambassador to Canada

Anne Kari H. Ovind, Norway's Ambassador to Canada, will be on campus for a public "fireside chat" with Dalhousie's Vice President Research, Dr. Alice Aiken, about her role and the sustainable use and protection of our ocean. 

Ms. Ovind has served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for more than 20 years. Most of her career has been in the field of security policy, including Arctic affairs, bilateral relations with Russia and NATO affairs. She also has extensive multilateral experience from responsibilities within climate change, sustainable development and management of natural resources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. ​

Prior to her posting to Canada, much Ambassador Ovind's work focused on implementing Norway's Arctic policy, including coordination across all ministries to produce a coherent and comprehensive policy, the Arctic Council and regional cooperation and bilateral relations in the field of Arctic affairs.​
