Women in STEM Networking and Panel Event
Earlier this week on International Women’s Day, the Faculties of Science, Computer Science and Engineering hosted the fifth annual Women in STEM Networking and Panel Event. A panel of five Dal faculty and alumni from a variety of STEM fields, including Drs. Anya Waite and Sophia Stone, shared their experiences with a capacity crowd at the Canvas Resto Lounge in the Cambridge Suites Hotel. Read our recap of the event.

This evening, the Together@Dal program is hosting a Research 101 event for first-year students interested in exploring research opportunities. Sign up to attend.

Mental Health Awareness Week
Mental Health Awareness Week from Student Health & Wellness runs from today to Friday, March 17 and includes workshops, classes and other programming designed to help you take care of your mental health. Visit the Student Health & Wellness website for a full schedule of events.

Dal Science Society Symposium
The Dalhousie Science Society’s Symposium is a great opportunity for undergraduate students to explore a variety of career and educational paths. Following a panel discussion with science grad students and industry professionals (6 to 7 pm), you’re invited to chat with the panelists and representatives from the Dal Co-op office (7 to 8 pm). There will also be pizza! Please sign up in advance.

3 Minute Thesis competition opening heats
The 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) competition from the Faculty of Graduate Studies is almost here! The Dalhousie community is invited to watch 3MT’s opening heats, which are taking place throughout the day on Tuesday, March 14 in the 2nd floor Council Chambers of the Student Union Building. The Faculty of Science has five grad students competing in the opening heats – see the list of competitors and more details on the event.
