Science students win big at Falling Walls competition
Chemistry PhD students Sarah Martell and Tina Taskovic were the top two finishers at Wednesday evening’s Falling Walls Atlantic Canada Lab pitch competition, which challenged university students and alumni to share their research-based ideas to make the world a better place. Both Sarah and Tina will receive a trip to Berlin, Germany in November to attend the Falling Walls Science Summit. Postponement of today’s welcome event
As a result of expected deteriorating weather conditions related to Hurricane Fiona, our welcome event for Dal Science students who self-identify as African Nova Scotian, Black and/or of African descent has been rescheduled to Friday, October 7 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. It will also now take place in room 3-44 of the Steele Ocean Sciences Building. RSVP to attend.

 

Sustainable Ocean Conference postponed
The Sustainable Ocean Conference scheduled for September 23 and 24 has been postponed due to the anticipated disruptions caused by Hurricane Fiona. Registered attendees should have already received a notice about the postponement via email.
