Congratulations to first-year Integrated Science student Ethan Eastwood on the Schulich Leader award. Ethan, a graduate of JL Isley High in Spryfield, NS has been an active participant in the Nova Scotia Math Circles program, a mathematics outreach initiative based out of Dal Science’s Department of Mathematics and Statistics and was recently accepted into the physics summer school program at the Perimeter Institute. Meet the people who make science happen. That’s the concept of Sciographies, a podcast and radio show launched by the Faculty of Science in partnership with campus-community radio station CKDU FM. The program, which began as a limited-edition storytelling and outreach project celebrating Dalhousie’s bicentennial anniversary last year, has returned for a second season with eight new episodes. Halifax Universities Career Fair
This event will run September 24th from 12-6 p.m. at the Cunard Centre in Halifax. There will be free transportation for Dalhousie students to and from the fair departing from Lord Dalhousie Drive (alongside the Sir James Dunn building) and the Sexton Loop (by the gymnasium) running every half hour. The event is open to current Dalhousie undergraduate and graduate students as well as recent alumni. Students need to bring their DalCards to get into the event.
