The DPMG Outreach Committee is excited October is finally here and that means we can announce the Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest! Last year here on the Halifax campus we had over 15 teams participate and create some outstanding pumpkins. We are hoping to have even more this year and look forward to seeing what our creative DPMGers will do next! So, grab some of your DPMG co-workers and register your team here.
There will be contests held on that same day at both the Truro and Saint John campuses, so stay tuned for a message for your Outreach representative for details! We can't wait to see your pumpkins, too!
Once you've registered, you'll be able to pick-up your pumpkin on Friday, October 18th (stay tuned for an email with the pick-up location for your campus). From there, you'll have about a week to carve your masterpiece! Be sure your pumpkin is delivered back to the Foyer of the Tupper Building between 11:30am and 12:00pm on Friday, October 25th to take part in the contest. Voting will take place between 12pm and 1pm.
Join us for a Halloween party and to vote for your favourite pumpkin on Friday, October 25th between 12pm and 1pm in the Foyer of the Tupper Building. Don't feel like carving a pumpkin? You can still join us for the party and vote for your favourite pumpkin! We’ll have plenty of Halloween tricks and treats for all of our DPMG members! Plus, it's really fun to see all of the amazing creations!

When we come to work at Dalhousie on a daily basis, we are not often able to hear the personal stories of the campus community. We are Dal is an opportunity to hear about the stories of those we may encounter in our work on campus. The goal of the series is to use the power of people's stories - told in their own words - to deepen connections, increase engagement, and elevate awareness and pride in the many contributions people make to the Dal community and beyond every day.
If you would like to make a recommendation on who to feature, email wearedal@dal.ca .
