If you are looking for a same-day counselling appointment on the online schedule and none are listed, it is because appointments for that day have been already booked by other students. If you need an urgent medical appointment, please contact the Centre and speak with a nurse.
If you would like a same-day counselling appointment and there are no appointments available, please check again the following day (as of 8am M-F, 11am Sat), or we encourage you to use Good2Talk which offers telephone and texting counselling 24/7/365.

Need urgent or time sensitive medical care? Alternative health care resources for the Truro area:

Notice to patients of Dr. Stasiuk:
Dr. Stasiuk will be closing her medical practice effective August 31, 2024 due to a maternity leave and a subsequent relocation out of province. At this time there is no replacement physician. We are continuing to look for a replacement and patients will be notified if care will be transferred to a new doctor.
There are no physicians at our Dalhousie Student Health & Wellness accepting new patients, please do not call the clinic to inquire.
If you are unable to find a doctor to care to you and/or your family, you may call 811 and register with the “Need a Family Physician” registry. From there, you can receive care through Virtual Care Nova Scotia. Patients seeking their medical records are asked to submit a Medical Records Request Form.
