Leveraging local strength to achieve global impact, the Halifax Marine Research Institute (HMRI) will align our region’s research assets for the benefit of the region and the marine technology sector. Its aim is to increase the scale, quality, internationalization and impact of marine research, enhancing both the competitiveness of oceans industries and our knowledge base by creating partnerships that build on our existing strengths.
The HMRI will be formally launched during Dalhousie Oceans Week with an inauguration event.
